    Please Pardon our Progress!

You may be aware that MPACT Memphis staff and Board leadership has recently changed. However, our mission to engage and support today’s diverse young professionals is still rock-solid. We strongly believe the Memphis community needs MPACT to recruit, retain and develop young professionals to contribute to our overall economic development goals.

Our new leadership team, led by Board Chair Miska Clay Bibbs, is currently working to develop new strategic and tactical plans to help us better execute our mission in the future.

In the meantime, current members are welcome to attend our Annual Membership Meeting to be held Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2011 at the MPACT Office (506 S. Main St.) from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. We are also currently recruiting volunteers to help plan and execute our upcoming Fall 2011 events including a wine tasting fundraiser!

We sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding and look forward to seeing you out and about in Memphis and at any or all of our upcoming events!

Favorite thing about MPACT: MPACT provides an avenue for young professionals (native and new) to bridge conversational and social gaps. It provides a mechanism for open dialogue on education, civic responsibility, and spiritual growth amongst individuals who may never have had the opportunity to cross paths. It also caters to locally owned businesses in an effort to promote "homegrown" ideas and relationships.

Favorite event so far, and why: SOUL of the CITY 1) The event has the potential to grow and expand the range of participants exponentially over the coming years 2) The attendees are a melting pot of socio-economic backgrounds within the city 3) The Music is fantastic - I'm a true believer that music soothes whatever ails you (Individually or collectively)

What brought you to Memphis: I'm actually a native Memphian. I've lived in different parts of the country, but nothing compares to the closeness or connectedness of the people of Memphis. Even when I lived away, there was always a tie to Memphis whether through relatives of individuals I met or ties to the music of the city. The rule everywhere else has been 6 degrees of separation. Within Memphis, it's one or two. Away from Memphis it seems, at most, 4 :)

Why I love Memphis: I love MEmphis, because MEmphis starts with "ME".

MEmories of a great childhood

MEsmerizing green space

MEaningful relationships

MElting pot of talent

MElodic sounds

MEasured success

The growth of MEmphis is determined by the ownership (The "ME") of its citizens to make a positive change.
